"Maria's Story"

I am an adult with moebius,I was born in a 3 world country, I have recently arrived to the U.S. and everywhere that I read about moebius
it states that the people with this condition won't be able to have facial expressions, smile or have lateral eye movement. But when I was
growing up my physical therapists and parents pushed my to accomplishing these things. I have facial expression, can blink, have lateral eye movement and can smile. My point is I was always encourage to be able to do these things ,if
parents just say it can't be done and as I am begining to notice all literature says it too, the children won't get the therapy needed in time and they will be left without having facial expression or lateral
eye movement. I know it can be done, it worked for me because everyone worked with me until i had facial expression and eye movement
and like I said before I never had smile surgery.
